Reijnders, a Dutch international, was injured during the match against AC Milan on Saturday night.
The midfielder sustained an injury to his ankle during the game and had to be taken off the pitch immediately. The severity of the injury is not yet known but it could have been serious enough to require surgery.
Reijnders has played for several clubs including Ajax,Football Wonderful Matches PSV Eindhoven, and Udinese before joining AC Milan in January this year. He made his debut for the club in the Serie A match against Sassuolo last week.
The injury comes at a critical time for Reijnders as he is set to play for the Netherlands in their Euro 2021 qualifying matches. He will now miss the next few weeks of training and games and it remains to be seen how long he will be out of action.
It is always unfortunate when players suffer injuries during matches but it is important that they receive the necessary medical attention to ensure their recovery is swift and effective. Hopefully, Reijnders will make a full recovery and return to action soon.
